Blue1 in Winter season is expanding weekend operations at Kittila, with the launch of 2 new routes and resumption of 1 route from 15DEC12. The airline will offer Saturday-only service to Tampere, Turku and Vaasa, with Golden Air Saab 2000 aircraft.

Star Alliance member Blue1 in Summer 2012 is offering seasonal service on Helsinki – Budapest route, on board Boeing 717 aircraft.
The airline is to offer twice weekly flights from 02JUN12 to 11AUG12 (1 weekly from 02JUN12 to 30JUN12 and 18AUG12 to 29SEP12).

Additional changes remain possible. Note the Star Alliance member is Cancelling service to Brussels and Zurich, while planned service resumption to Berlin is shelved as well.

As per 21OCT11 GDS timetable display, Blue1’s Planned operational changes for Summer 2012 as follows. Also, the Star Alliance member has further revised its planned system-wide flight number changes.

As per 10OCT11 GDS inventory display, Star Alliance member Blue1 starting 30OCT11 is cancelling its Helsinki – London Heathrow service.
This route is currently operating up to 2 flights per day on board Boeing 717 aircraft. Reservations for this route is no longer available on the airline’s website, and Zero’d out in the airline inventory display in the GDS.
Previously planned schedule for W11:
As per 22SEP11 GDS timetable display, Blue1 appears to be resuming Helsinki – Berlin Tegel service from 30APR12, operating 6 times a week. However, the flight is currently bookable under SAS’ “SK” code. Flight under KF code is not available.
In addition, the Star Alliance member starting 25MAR12 is introducing new flight numbering system, including service operated by Golden Air aircraft.
SAS Group member carrier Blue1 is streamlining its operational fleet, which will be focused on Boeing 717 aircraft. It will phase out existing Avro RJ85 aircraft.
As a result, the Star Alliance member carrier will gradually canceling 5 European destinations from August 2011 and September 2011. Affected destinations are:
Blue1 from 30OCT11 is launching Helsinki – Tampere 6 weekly service. Like the new Copenhagen – Tampere route (See post on 25MAR11) which is also to be launched from the same date, service is operated by Golden Air’s ATR72 turboprop.
The Star Alliance member currently operates Stockholm – Tampere route, operating up to 4 Daily.
Continental Airlines starting 27MAR11 begins unilateral codeshare service with Blue1, offering service to Helsinki via CO’s European gateways that are currently served by Blue1.
