Singapore Airlines Seoul Incheon schedule change from Aug 2011

As per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display, Singapore Airlines from 01AUG11 is adjusting operational schedule on 1 of 3 Daily service on Singapore – Seoul Incheon route.

SQ608/609 operational schedule, sees Singapore departure moves from morning to mid-afternoon, and Seoul Incheon departure moves from mid-afternoon to red-eye hours.

Bahrain Air to launch Istanbul service; New Service cutbacks

Bahrain Air starting 23JUN11 is launching 4 weekly service on Bahrain – Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen route, on board Airbus A320 aircraft.

Also, as per latest schedule posting on the airline’s website, the carrier has shelved its plan to resume service to Damascus as well as cancelling 4 routes.

Air Canada changes to Argentina & Chile service in NW11

As per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display, Air Canada in Northern Winter 2011/12 season plans to boost capacity on Toronto – Santiago de Chile – Buenos Aires route.

Boeing 777-300ER will replace 767-300ER starting 29OCT11. Also, the Star Alliance member from 07DEC11 is adding 6th weekly flight, and further increase to Daily from 18DEC11. In NW10, Boeing 777 replaced 767 from Dec 2010 with 6 weekly frequency.

Vladivostok Air plans A330 service on Vladivostok – Beijing route Jul – Sep 2011

As per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display, Vladivostok Air is introducing Airbus A330-300 wide-body service on Vladivostok – Beijing service once a week.

From 13JUL11 to 30SEP11, most Saturdays service operated by A330, replacing A320. Also the Tupolev Tu204 will also operate the service during this period.

KLM reducing Tokyo service from Jun to Sep 2011

As per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display, KLM from 18JUL11 to 03SEP11 reduces Amsterdam – Tokyo Narita service. From 18JUN11, service reduce from 10 weekly to Daily. 8th weekly service to be restored from 14JUL11 and 9th from 06AUG11.

The Skyteam member once again operates 10 weekly flights from 04SEP11.

Alitalia extends Rome – Tokyo Narita service cuts till Oct 2011

Alitalia is further extending service reduction on Rome – Tokyo Narita service, which this route in the month of June 2011 continues to operate 7 weekly, instead of 10.

From 29JUN11, service operates 8 weekly, and 9th weekly flight will be restored by 29AUG11. The frequency reduction makes it possible for the Skyteam member to add 1 extra weekly frequency to Los Angeles, Osaka and Sao Paulo (reported on this site within the past 4 weeks).

Cathay Pacific Group Extends Japan Reduction into Mid-July; Additional Tokyo Narita cuts

oneWorld member Cathay Pacific and sister carrier Dragonair is extending service cuts to Japan into mid-July 2011, as per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display.

Cathay Pacific to Tokyo Narita sees further cuts to just 2 Daily (NONSTOP, excluding 1-stop via Taipei). The capacity cut is also extended till the end of August 2011, instead of mid-July 2011.

UNI Air to launch Taichung – Nanjing from July 2011; New codeshare service with Xiamen Airlines

Taiwan’s UNI Airways has started bilateral codeshare agreement with Xiamen Airlines, offering codeshare service on selected service between Taiwan and China.

Meanwhile, the Taiwan-based carrier starting 01JUL11 will launch 1 weekly Taichung – Nanjing service, on board mono-class MD90 aircraft.

China Eastern Yunnan Division June 2011 International Service Changes

As per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display, China Eastern’s Yunnan branch (based in Kunming) is adjusting operation during the month of June 2011.

Selected routes sees capacity reduction, which allows the airline to operate temporary service on Kunming – Phuket and Luxi – Mandalay. Additional flights also operating during this month on Kunming – Colombo – Male and Kunming – Mandalay

AIRFRANCE to maintain 5 weekly Guangzhou service in W11

As per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display, AIRFRANCE is continuing 5 weekly service on Paris CDG – Guangzhou service in Winter 2011/12 season.

This route sees frequency increase from 3 to 5 weekly starting this month (June 2011), and is now being maintained beyond 29OCT11. However, there will be minor adjustment on operational days.

Continental 767-400ER on Newark – Sao Paulo planned from mid-Dec 2011

AS per 06JUN11 GDS timetable display, Continental starting 15DEC11 is increasing capacity on Newark – Sao Paulo route with Boeing 767-400ER operating, replacing -200ER. Overall the Star Alliance member is adding 427 weekly seats on this market per direction.

For the moment, the 767-400ER is to operate in Northern Summer 2012 season as well, though further changes expected.
