Why cancel the JFK-BOM nonstop? And can the 300ER really do DEL-JFK westbound without payload restrictions?

I read that AI is considering moving the BOM-JFK flight to EWR. AI thinks it can get better slot times at EWR versus JFK.

Air Indians will realise during the winter schedule, that opting for DEL/ORD is a tactically wrong move. Its much easier to get passengers from South India & North East India to Mumbai, than to DEL.

For example a large proportion of Air India’s ORD traffic comes from HYD/ MAA/ BLR & Mumbai itself. DEL bound pax are insignificant throughout the year. BOM/ORD, would be a far safer economic bet, than DEL/ORD.
